My procedure (not necessarily in the right particular order, and not 100% sure which of these are redundant and which ones are the one that did the trick). I have a Garmin Approach S6 golf watch. This should probably work for other versions, but YMMV. So after a lot of trial and error, I've managed to get Garmin Express to run under Wine on my Ubuntu Linux 21.10! No VM, no VirtualBox or Containers!
